This course will be a series of evening classes over a 6 week period. We will cover the basics of woodworking skills and general carpentry tasks around the house. This class is led by professional tradespeople in a supportive environment and is aimed at those looking to pick up DIY skills to work on their own home or for those considering a career in the trades.
What we’ll cover:
Health and safety
Introduction to hand tools
Using power tools safely
Wall types and fixings
Hanging a shelf
Fitting laminate flooring
Installing skirting boards
Installing architraves
Fitting a door handle, Lock & latch
Basic kitchen fitting
Installing base & wall units
Cabinet hinges
This course will run every Tuesday evening 6-9pm over a 6 week block from 28th of April to the 2nd of June at our Glasgow workshop.

We understand that changes to plans happen, we’re a small not-for-profit organization and we rely on our classes being full. Please make sure you can attend the course you book onto.
Cancellation or change policy:
Cancellations up to 28 days before the workshop start date will be refunded the full amount*. Cancellations between 28 days and 14 days prior to workshop start date will be charged 50% of the full amount. Cancellations of 14 days or less before the workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund
*Minus the £20 fee to cover the charges we incur and admin and restocking.
